Spoonflower now has fleece! The fine folks at Spoonflower contacted me a few weeks ago to see if I’d like to try out their new printable fleece fabric. I decided to create a new fabric of cut and sew veggies (and an earthworm) since I’ve been wanting to get out and garden but the cold weather hasn’t let me yet.
More info on the fleece from their website
Our Fleece is a double-faced, low-loft, 100% polyester knit napped fabric. Our lightweight Fleece is ideal for blankets (including no-sew tie baby blankets), pillows, plushies, adult and youth loungewear, and cold weather apparel. Hemming is optional with this fabric as it doesn’t fray when cut, making this Fleece perfect for novice and experienced crafters alike. This cozy fabric is engineered to show crisp design detail and long-lasting vibrant color.
I was so pleased with the way the fleece printed up. Its soft, and not too thick which makes it even easier for cut and sew patterns. It sewed up perfectly without any issues. I can’t wait to try it out again for future Plush Of The Month Club plush.
I filled the earthworm with plastic pellets instead of polyfil, which gave him a great worm like feel, and makes him perfect for posing.
I added some yarn to the bottom of my radish so it felt like tiny roots. You can find
