Maryland Sheep & Wool Fest 2016

This Mother’s Day Tom surprised me by bringing Kurtis home with him after work on Saturday night. The boys and I went to the Maryland Sheep & Wool festival on Sunday, and it was such a beautiful day! We have been having so much rain lately, that it was amazing the have a clear day with blue skies and a great breeze.
It only takes us a little over an hour from our house to get to the fairgrounds, but we actually have not been since 2006!
I got some yarn, spinning stuff, and a bag of unprocessed fleece that B seems excited about helping me wash this Summer. I haven’t washed & carded fleece in so many years, but I think I remember the basics.
On the way home from the festival we stopped in to get some takeout from a restaurant I like in Frederick. I never like trying to eat out on Mother’s Day as it seems like restaurants are always so very full!
Once home I had to do a little spinning with some of my new buys. I had such a good weekend since Saturday Molly and I celebrated Free Comic Book Day in York PA. We stopped at an antique mall too and found a few fun things. Mostly its just nice to have such great weather for getting out of the house.
