November Crafternoon

November Crafternoon

November’s crafternoon was spent making surprise balls. I had some small goodies saved from thrifting, and then I bought some items from Tiny Things Are Cute. I made three balls in total but would of made even more if I had not run out of surprise fillings. They are lots of fun to roll up!
Here are some ideas for adding to surprise balls:
-fun balloons (animal shaped etc)
-origami items (like a cute folded paper crane)
-vintage charms or cracker jack toys
-small stickers
paper balloons
-candy
-tiny whoopee cushions (I saw packs of these in the party aisle of Target)
-fortune fish
-confetti poppers
-coins
-tiny plush
-enamel zipper pulls
-phone charms
-re-ment type miniatures
-jewelry
I hope those ideas help should you decide to make some surprise balls of your own. The photo at the bottom is the white elephant gift I gave. I had been doing lots of production sewing for Plush Of The Month Club, so it felt great to take some time to sew something a little different. The bag is a free pattern you can find here.
